As a recent bride and beauty professional, I understand that choosing your wedding vendors is one of the toughest decisions when planning a wedding. The wedding market is so saturated that it can make it hard to know which direction to go in. Budget is typically one of the biggest deciding factors when securing your vendors.
I urge you to do your research and make sure you are making the best decision for you. Hair and makeup is often overlooked when booking vendors and I'm here to tell you that it shouldn't be. In fact, I'd argue that it's one of the most important factors on your wedding day. While budget is an important factor to consider, connecting and trusting your artist(s) is equally as important, as is finding an artist(s) whose style matches your vision. I can't tell you how many times I've had brides express how wrong their previous experience was, when they made budget the only priority in booking their beauty team. The cheapest option is not always the best option. Your wedding look is an investment in your memories and should be treated as such. The way you look and feel on your wedding day, will reflect on the way your wedding day progresses and the memories you hold onto forever.
Now you'll say, but I'm only looking for "minimal, natural hair and makeup"....Anyone can create that, right? This couldn't be further from the truth. It takes true skill to master the artistry behind your bridal look, making sure you look "natural", while still being elevated enough to portray that in photos. Natural, when referring to bridal, is not "simple" or "natural" in any way. It is done in such a way for you to look and feel like YOU in all the best ways possible, but there are several steps and measures taken to ensure longevity and that keep your appearance fresh and clean.
Your beauty team is with you during some of the most intimate moments in your day. Building a personal connection and trust in your artist is so important. You want to have full faith that your artist(s) will be timely and come prepared, truly capture your vision with ease, while creating a fun and professional environment for you and your ladies. Wedding planning can be stressful enough, that choosing the right vendors is so important to ensure you can truly enjoy your wedding day to the fullest!
Keep in mind that most artists booked 6 months to a year+ out, especially during the busy months of May, June, September and October. Early communication is extremely important to make sure you don't have any missed opportunities. If you LOVE a vendor, don't overthink and wait to book, because 9 times out of 10, someone else is ready to move forward. We dislike it just as much as you, when we have to turn away a potential bride because the date is no longer available.
Keeping all of these factors in mind is key to a successful experience!
